Based in the heart of England, in the village of Hampton-in-Arden, I specialise in the Midlands' counties of Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Leicestershire but am happy to undertake research in all parts of the United Kingdom. Being centrally located, I am ideally placed to do so. I also have a large library of genealogical resources at my fingertips supplemented by the wealth of online material that is now available. I was an IT professional for 25 years and this experience greatly helps me with my genealogical research. I have been researching my ancestry since the 1970s and have traced it back as far as the mid 16th century and as far afield as the United States. As well as the Midlands I have a special interest in North and West Wales and the South West of England but my research has at various times taken me to most parts of the UK. I have a particular interest in the area around the village of Elmley Lovett in Worcestershire, where I believe I may now have discovered the location of the lost settlement of Insoll, after which my family takes its name.
